New Ground Network started after seeing how often relocated families and individuals fell through the cracks between national assistance programs and genuine local community connection. We built our approach around local partnerships, working through existing community and church networks rather than building a disconnected national program from scratch.

How We Support a Relocation

Local Resource Connection — We link newly arrived families with housing, schooling, and basic assistance resources specific to their new community.

Partnership-Based Delivery — We work through established local organizations who already understand that community’s needs.

Ongoing Check-Ins — Support doesn’t end after the first connection is made, we follow up during the harder early months.

Our work serves individuals and families relocating both domestically and internationally, all facing the same core challenge: rebuilding a support network from nothing. We don’t run one generic program everywhere, we adapt to what each local partnership can actually provide.

We’ve found that the difference between a difficult relocation and a genuinely hard one often comes down to whether someone had a single local connection point in those first weeks. That’s the gap our network exists to close.
